In Germany, Scheurebe is grown in virtually every region, but most importantly in Rheinhessen, Pfalz, Nahe and Franken. It was named after its creator, grape breeder Dr. Georg Scheu. In the vineyard Scheurebe is high yielding with slightly less acidity than Riesling. Dry in style but delightfully forward and fruity, this delicate white offers bold lychee and white-peach flavors. Twists of dried herb and earth lend interest on the midpalate. This lighthearted sip has a touch of phenolic grip on the finish. 89 PTS Wine Enthusiast
